It is a sequel to the popular game Pokemon Colosseum and features a new storyline, new characters, and over 460 new pokemon to catch. The gameplay is very similar to that of the Pokemon games for the handheld consoles, with players battling wild pokemon and catching them to add to their party. One unique feature of this title is the ability to “Shadow” wild pokemon, which makes them more difficult to catch but also more powerful. The graphics are impressive for a Gamecube game, and the addition of voice acting gives the characters a much more lifelike feel. Overall, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness is an excellent addition to the Pokemon franchise and well worth playing for any fan.
